The TRDRM project creates transparency. Citizens—Belgians, Dutchmen or Germans—shall, at any time,
be able to keep an eye on the current state of environmental radioactive radiation in the areas potentially affected by a
nuclear accident. It is our mission to instigate, by means of our approach, authorities and political bodies to strive for more
transparency also on their side.
Maintenance till saturday 8:00 am
We are just performing technical maintenance on the network to increase stability. Therefore, no values are currently displayed. Maintenance will last until Saturday 8:00 am. We ask for patience.
TDRM12 in maintenance
Station TDRM12 (Cluster Eupen) is currently in maintenance. Therefore, inaccurate values may occur.
The TDRM network is destined for the monitoring of atmospheric radioactive radiation in the Tihange-Doel-Aachen area. With first sensor stations installed in the field the network is actually operated testwise. Its Website offers a geographical overview of the positions of installed sensor stations, a survey of present readings, and detailed temporal representations of the radiation level.
TDRM is an independent citizens-based project. The network is operated by a special working group of Computer Professionals for Peace and Social Resposibility (FIfF). The group cooperates with Aachen-based members of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and with the Aachen Alliance against Atomic Power (AAA).
The operators of the network do not take any responsibility for reliability and correctness of the readings, see also page Gamma radiometry. As well the operators are not liable for abusive intrusion into sensor stations or servers, or for abusive exploitation of data provided by the network. Coordinates given for locations of sensor stations are deliberately obscured by a random shift. These Pages are still under work. It is not always possible so sychronize changes in all language versions in due time.
